The most reliable full Meitei chaak in Imphal: rice at the centre of a leaf-lined tray with eromba, kangshoi, ooti, a fried fish and morok metpa around it. Everything is cooked without onion or garlic in the traditional manner, and the ngari comes from a single supplier in Thoubal the family has used for years.
