What happens
A four-day state festival held at Ukhrul each May to mark the blooming of Lilium mackliniae on the Shirui ridge and to build support for protecting it. Tangkhul cultural performances, a flower show, guided treks up the ridge, an adventure sports programme and a market of hill produce and crafts.
Why it matters
Celebrates Manipur's endangered state flower and channels tourism revenue toward its conservation and toward Tangkhul village economies.
