About this place
Maram Khullen is among the biggest villages in Senapati district and one of the most studied by anthropologists — a primitive settlement in the technical sense, with an intact traditional village layout, morung houses and stone seats. It is the parent village from which many Maram settlements claim descent.
How to reach
Just off NH-2 at Maram, roughly 90 km north of Imphal on the Imphal–Kohima road.
