About this place
Also called Leimaram Waterfall, Sadu Chiru drops in three tiers through wooded foothills near Ichum Keirap village on the Tiddim Road. The lowest tier is a short walk from the parking area; the upper tiers need a scramble. In full monsoon flow it is the loudest place within an hour of Imphal.
How to reach
27 km southwest of Imphal on the Tiddim Road (NH-150); turn off at Leimaram. Cab ₹1,200–1,600 return; shared autos run to Leimaram bazar.
Local tips
- Wear shoes with grip: the rock is algae-covered and genuinely slippery.
- Do not swim at the base after heavy rain; the flow is stronger than it looks.
- In winter the falls reduce to a trickle; check before making the trip.
